Due to the uncertainty of the coming months, we’ve made the difficult decision of cancelling our summer programs this year. Remember, we’re still available to help with your academic and pre-college needs and enrichment, via Skype or Zoom.
California Learning Center offers summer programs to help you reach your academic goals. We offer our signature Math Madness for ages 10-13, and for rising seniors we have workshops to help in college essay writing and the application process. We also provide individual tutoring for all ages throughout the summer.

Math Madness camp gives students the opportunity to problem-solve, strengthen, and enhance their math skills through a variety of hands-on activities and games in a relaxed environment. Led by a credentialed teacher, everyday will be different, following a theme, and designed to build their confidence. For instance, Monday will be about money, measurements, and learning to play Mancala. This fun-filled week will help your kids capture number sense in everyday life and direct them towards becoming better critical thinkers.

This is for students who both love math and for those who may need some encouragement. Kids are guaranteed to enjoy math more after this week!

Rising seniors can choose one of the three dates offered (same time each day) for CLC’s College Essay Day workshop. One of the hardest parts of writing those college essays is brainstorming and getting started. This one-day workshop addresses what they need to draft a compelling essay. An experienced essay specialist will guide students to think thoughtfully and objectively about how to develop a topic that distinguishes them from other applicants with such questions as:
– How have you chosen to spend your time?
– What have you accomplished?
– What have you gained, both inside and outside the classroom?
